Skate the 'Wild' Way - website launched
Being a keen ice-skater myself, I jumped (no pun intended) at the opportunity to rebuild a website for Alan Wild, one of the skating coaches at Silver Blades Altrincham.
The primary driver for developing Alan's new website was to attract more business. With this in mind the requirements were set to drive more traffic to the site, improve SEO and to raise Alan's online profile.
Interactive Flash wheel for ICE
![]()
In order to clearly illustrate the benefits of membership, the Institution of Civil Engineers asked us to produce an interactive guide for display on their website. Our response was to create the benefits wheel, which allows users to quickly navigate through their extensive benefits package and learn more about each benefit. The wheel can be controlled through keyboard or mouse input and was developed using Adobe Flash.

After setting up our design agency in 2010 we have reflected on our business aspirations and decided we were in need of a new name and brand. As of September 2011 Probably Pixels is now known as Equilibrium...same great team, same great work (with some extras) but with a brand new name. Let us know what you think and if you would like to discuss your upcoming business development initiatives we'd love to hear from you.Email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Fun social media accessories
Now you can have fun with your online social media by incorporating it with your offline world.
Companies including Zazzle, Etsy, Blurb and BookofFame enable you to create a t-shirt or mug showing your Facebook friends; add your twitter id to a pair of shoes; or use an instagram photo on a book cover.
Take a look at some examples to get you inspired!
French pixel art
French office workers, not being content with flicking elastic bands at one another or supergluing each others' mouse to their desks, have come up with a new way to relieve the boredom of their working days. They have begun to create works of art, based on their favourite cartoon and video game characters, using that much overlooked creative medium - The humble Post-It note. There are some fine examples here at geekosystem and more here at The Guardian, showing the wonders of this pixel art in all its lo-fi glory.
It's on days like this we wish we had bigger windows.
Website launch - Museum of Wimbledon
This week we launched a new website for the Museum of Wimbledon (www.wimbledonmuseum.org.uk).
In response to the brief we've delivered a single web-based solution that fully integrates the museum's website content with their object collections, image library, audio library and bookshop using a scaleable solution developed in Joomla CMS and MySQL.
